Originally born Nicholas Hamilton, the New York City native grew up in the crime and drug ridden streets of East Elmhurst, Queens. Rapper Yung Reno gives new meaning to the rose that grew from concrete. With his NY influenced sound and gritty lyrics he stands out amongst his peers. Growing up, Reno took interest in regular activities as a child but it was at a 6th grade talent show where he discovered his passion for rapping and performing. From that point he has worked on perfecting his craft; performing at local shows, participating in freestyle battles and appearing on several mixtapes and Independent albums. Wanting to not only better himself as an entertainer but also as a person he decided to attend Howard University in Washington DC. Howard is where he was able to really exercise his talent, performing at HU Homecoming Yardfest, opening for the likes of Marsha Ambrosius and being showcased as one of Howard’s top 10 emcees. It is also where he met his long-time friend and manager Brandon Mimms. Yung Reno pulls inspiration from life experiences and his surroundings. He wants to be known as an artist who gives his craft everything, whether he's in the studio, on stage or on record.

YR: I'm a excellent chef haha...ladies love that.

TMC: What projects do you have planned for the near future?

YR: I've got the "Reno Brown EP" coming out in a few months. That's basically gonna be an introduction to my Reno Brown persona, bringing back that Gambino,Mafioso story telling style.
